MoH asks Austria to invest in medical services and non-communicable disease care

Phnom Penh (MGO) - The Ministry of Health of Cambodia requested Austria Government support medical service projects and non-communicable disease care and invest in medical technology to enhance prime health care to cover health services across the country.


The request has made in a meeting held on May 13, between the Secretary of State for the Ministry of Health, Or Vandine, and the Austrian business delegation led by Michael Schmeiser First Secretary and Deputy Chief of Mission of the Austrian Embassy that has a residence in Thailand.


Or Vandine has stated in the meeting that the MoH always provides support to the private companies who intention invests in the health sector in Cambodia currently, only a small number of health products and medical equipment from Austria are registered in Cambodia. She urged the Austrian business delegation to study the capacity of the health product and medical equipment market expanding in Cambodia.


"She encouraged and request Austria to assist on medical services project, providing non-communicable medical care services, investing in Digital Health Technology as part of the prime health care booster (PHC Booster) project to step forward cover global health services," said MOH


Or Vandine told the Austria business delegation that currently the Ministry of Health strives to promote Primary Health Care Booster to play a fundamental role in promoting contribution to achieving global health service coverage and MoH is paying attention to many works that can reach to global health services coverage.
