Phnom Penh (MGO) – At the invitation of HE Wang Yi, the State of Council and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, HE Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhon, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia, led an official visit to Hangzhou city, Zhejiang province, China from 3-5 December 2021.
During the visit, both Foreign Ministers met to further strengthen bilateral ties and cooperation in various fields, such as the fight against the epidemic of globalization, investment, protection of the national and security, education, agriculture, and people-to-people exchange.
The Deputy Prime Minister also thanked the Chinese friend for agreeing to provide finance for 67 projects in Cambodia worth a total of $ 26 million under the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation.
Regarding Mekong-Lanchang cooperation, the two Foreign Ministers agreed to speed up the implementation of the five-year action Plan on Mekong-Lancang Cooperation (2018-2022).
